the blade shobu-zukuri, iori-mune, almost mu-zori, engraved with a koshi-hi on each face, ko-itame hada with some mokume and jinie, ko-gunome hamon in nioi-deki with some choji and ashi, komaru boshi with a sharp kaeri and machi-okuri nakago with three mekugi-ana (two filled), kuri-jiri, yoko-yasuri and signed Bishu Osafune Iesuke on the omote and dated Oei Nijuichi Nen Jugatsu Hi (October 1414) on the ura; with black lacquered saya, oval tsuba signed Suiko Sami Tsuneyuki and depicting peonies and butterflies inlaid with gold, silver and copper, sentoku kozuka (lacking blade) signed Motosanesaku with kao and depicting foliage in gold, shibuichi fuchi-kashira decorated with a design of peonies in gold highlights and fuchi signed Suikosai Hirano Tsuneyuki / Kaei 2 Mi Tori 2 Gatsu Tsukuru Kore, menuki formed as resting dragons and tsuka of blue ito over white samé
